At BHI we are very proud that we have almost no turnover. We have grown over the years to 20 full-time employees, but the person who handles your project today, will be here to handle other projects for you years from now. Jim Mitchell: CEO-President

With 35 years in the building and construction industry, Jim has vast knowledge of the best tradesmen, products, and processes to get your job done with quality - on time, and in budget. From humble beginnings with just Jim, Jake, and Brad operating from a spare bedroom – BHI has grown to a highly respected regional commercial general contracting firm with an absolutely pristine reputation. Despite our growth, Jim still meets every client personally. If you leave him a message, he will return your call. It is his integrity and skill that have given BHI such an impressive client list and the long lasting relationships that have allowed us to grow to where we are today.

Jake Jacobs: CFO-Controller

Jake brings over 30 year of business, planning, accounting/budgeting and system knowledge to our team. Formerly a business consultant and IT executive with a major bank, Jake designed, developed, and runs the back office for BHI. His attention to detail insures all of the proper paperwork and financial management of a job is accomplished seamlessly. It is his financial savvy that has helped BHI keep our overhead low and our pricing unbeatable.

Tyler Patrick: Senior Estimator – Project Manager

Tyler came to BHI shortly after inception and has over 30 years in the construction industry. He has been the PM on numerous strip centers, free standing commercial buildings, restaurants, and churches in the area and is known for his attention to detail and unwavering determination in meeting deadlines. He is skilled at large and small scale project estimating, project safety and OSHA requirements, as well as project budgeting, mobilization, and detailed project scheduling.

Luke Mitchell: President

After working many summers on job sites with his father, Luke joined BHI after completing his business degree at the University of Kentucky nearly a decade ago. Starting at the bottom and working his way up, he has learned and successfully executed every aspect of project bidding and field supervision. His commitment to operating with integrity in every aspect of a project has helped us build such a long list of repeat customers, and allowed BHI to build a large following of quality subcontractors who give us preferred pricing and make our bid numbers very hard to beat.

Brad Mitchell: Vice President of Construction

As one of BHI’s founders, Brad has overseen hundreds of projects from beginning to end. He has the knowledge and expertise to manage any size project and works tirelessly to ensure that every single job we do is executed on schedule, with the quality we demand from our subcontractors. He is actively involved in our client scheduling process to make sure we always have the resources and quality control to exceed client expectations. With OSHA 30 certification, Brad has been integral in demanding job site safety and is a primary reason we have never had a workman’s comp claim.

Lisa Amspaugh: Director of Sales & Marketing

BHI was one of Lisa’s customers when she was one of the top Blue Book Construction Network territory managers. For years she worked closely with BHI to help them develop additional relationships with quality subcontractors and had avidly promoted BHI as one of the best general contractors in the region, before joining our staff. In addition to her extensive knowledge of the construction industry, she brought with her a distinguished background in marketing and sales. She is most often the first point of contact for potential new clients, handles corporate communications, and keeps in close contact with our current customers to make sure every need is met on a timely basis. Having originally worked only on repeat and referral, Lisa has been instrumental in helping us form many new relationships and in effectively upgrading our marketing ,qualification, and communication tools to keep pace with our growth.

Greg Voyles: Project Manager – Estimator

Greg started his career working with the City of Middletown in Economic Development and City Planning, where he learned every aspect of project work. From there he continued his career with Contingent Network Services and Contingent, a Comcast Business Company, where he coordinated multiple IT projects across the U.S. and internationally. His government and large corporate background is invaluable to some of our larger clients, and he has been instrumental in upgrading and adding to our certification list. In addition to estimating and PM duties, Greg heads our safety program and makes sure our staff is certified and trained to keep every worker safe.

Greg Richardson: Project Manager – Estimator

Greg is the newest addition to BHI General Contracting and brings 38 years of Management, Sales and Engineering experience. He is an expert in custom refrigeration systems for commercial, institutional, and pharmaceutical applications, and has vast experience with blueprints and estimating. He has an associate degree in Refrigeration Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a Bachelor of Business Management from Wilmington College.
